How do I get a building permit or who do I call?
Our building permit application is available by clicking here or you can contact Code Enforcement Officer Rob Ramsey with any questions at 315.343-5173 or code@townofminetto.com.

The Town of Minetto was incorporated in 1916 in Oswego County, New York, and has an estimated population of 1,556. The hamlet of Minetto, the only settlement in the Town, is located to the south of the City of Oswego, overlooking the Oswego River. A waterfront community, perfect for fishing and boating, Minetto offers residents a rural setting, surrounded by historic homes and expansive trees and ponds cut through the neighborhoods. Minetto Elementary School, part of the Oswego City School District, is located in the community, as well as numerous small businesses, and other retail offerings.

How can I pay my real property taxes for the Town and County?
Checks should be made payable to Town of Minetto. By mail you can send to Town of Minetto Attn: Tax Collector, PO Box 220, Minetto, New York 13115. Cash & Check payments will be accepted at the Town Hall during the tax collection hours as stated on bill.

The Town of Minetto Town Board will be holding a special Town Board meeting on April 30th, 2024 at 7PM. The purpose for the special meeting is for the Town Board to consider scheduling a public hearing and a special Town Board meeting concerning a Restore New York Grant Application.  Any questions can be directed to the Town Clerk's Office 315-343-2303 or by email clerk@townofminetto.com

Notice of Completion of the Tentative Assessment Roll z

(pursuant to Section 506 and Article 15A Section 1526, of Real Property Tax Law)    

Hearings of Complaints: Notice is hereby given that the Assessor for the Town of Minetto, County of Oswego, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year.  A copy thereof was filed on or about May 1, 2024, with the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Municipal Building, where it may be seen anytime during Town Clerk’s office hours.  The Assessor will be in attendance with the assessment inventory, valuation data, and the tentative roll at the municipal building on Monday, May 6th  (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM), Monday, May 13th (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM), Friday, May 17th (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM), and Saturday, May 18th (by appointment only).
Grievance Day is Tuesday, May 28, 2024, (2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM) in the Town Municipal Building.  The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) will meet with you at this time to hear and examine all verified written complaints.  You may also mail your complaint for review, but it must be received by the BAR no later than the day the BAR meets to hear complaints.
If you file your complaint four business days before the BAR meets, the Board is required to grant the Assessor’s request for an adjournment to allow the Assessor to prepare a response to the complaint.  The failure to file your complaint on time closes off your right for administrative and judicial review.
